Samuel Tsappidi Joins Neuroendovascular Service

Dr. Tsappidi has medical training at Emory University in Atlanta, including an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Neurology. These were followed by fellowships in Vascular Neurology under Dr. Marc Chimowitz, Neuro-Critical Care under Dr. Owen Samuels, and Interventional Neuroradiology fellowship under Dr. Jacques E Dion.

He further gained experience in comprehensive clinical evaluation and management of Acute Stroke patients, including provision of intensive Care services for Neurologic and Neurosurgical patients, as well as endovascular skills in brain, spine, head and neck conditions.

Dr. Tsappidi's current interests include endovascular techniques in acute stroke, brain aneurysms, vascular malformations of the brain and spine, as well as narrowed cervical and cerebral vasculature. He is also interested in multimodality monitoring for cerebral blood flow by intracranial probes in vasospasm as well as acute stroke patients.
