Gurdjian-Thomas Visiting Professor Lecture Series - Dr. Gail Rosseau
Dr. Gail Rosseau is internationally known for her expertise in cranial surgery, particularly endoscopic techniques to treat pituitary tumors. She began her practice at the Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch (CINN) and is currently in practice at NorthShore Neurological Institute in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Rosseau completed her undergraduate work at the University of Iowa and her medical degree at George Washington University. She completed clerkships in London, Glasgow, Paris and Sydney. Her residency training in neurosurgery was completed at George Washington University under the direction of Dr. Edward Laws. She then entered a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, under the tutelage of Drs. Laligam Sekhar and Peter Jannetta, completing subspecialty training in cranial base surgery and microvascular surgery.
Dr. Rosseau is a member of the Board of Directors of the AANS and is the North American vice president of the WFNS. She is also on the Board of Directors of Women in Neurosurgery and Chairman of the International Fellowship Committee of the CNS.
In addition to her neurosurgical pursuits, Dr. Rosseau has a strong interest in health policy and is an avid marathon runner.
