Biography

Dr. Adam Folbe is an Assistant Professor in the department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He treats all aspects of Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat diseases), but sub-specializes in diseases of the nose,  sinuses and voice. Dr. Folbe is an expert in surgery for chronic sinus disease, revision sinus surgery, cerebral spinal fluid leaks, and anterior skull base tumors. Dr. Folbe also performs office-based surgery to treat voice disorders, such as vocal cord paralysis and spasmodic dysphonia.

Dr. Folbe completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. Then, he completed medical school and residency at Wayne State University. Dr. Folbe completed a fellowship in Rhinology and Minimally Invasive Skull-base Surgery at the University of Miami in Florida in 2007.  He has published many articles on the surgical management of nasal and sinus diseases and has presented his research at national meetings.  He is also a reviewer for the journal Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which is the journal for the American Academy of Otolaryngology.
